Cllr David Chance, Chair of North Yorkshire Council was joined by Scarborough’s town crier to unveil Armed Forces Day flag at Skipton Building Society to recognise their commitment to Armed Forces Day.
Skipton Building Society are a proud signatory of the Armed Forces Covenant and have sponsored Scarborough Armed Forces Day in 2025 and 2026.
Scarborough’s town crier, David Birdsall, began the unveiling, thanking Skipton Building Society for their partnership, generosity and support.
To round up the event, Cllr David Chance, unveiled the flag and presented them with a framed copy of the town crier’s cry, a token of appreciation for their ongoing commitment.
To mark the occasion, the Royal British Legion, veterans, standard bearers, cadets and members of the wider community were also in attendance.
