One of the more formal aspects of the Armed Forces Day national event is a military parade which will set off at 11am on Saturday (25 June).
It will snake its way from North Bay into South Bay and along Foreshore Road where a salute will be taken by St Nicholas Gardens.
Servicemen and women from all three armed services will be taking part along with cadets and veterans.
Many veterans who attend the national event – whether in the parade or not – will have travelled many miles to be there.
Others are local to the Yorkshire coast.
Meet four of them – Mike, Rick, Steven and Sean.
