Special Wold Top Brewery beer bottle for AFDNE

The enterprising beer aficionados at Wold Top Brewery have partnered with us to produce a special edition of their popular Wold Gold beer, designed to celebrate this year’s Armed Forces Day national event in Scarborough.

The limited edition labelled bottle will be presented to serving personnel and veterans taking part in the main parade on Saturday 25 June. The bottle label design complements the official artwork for the national event, which is being used on the commemorative programme and on other promotional channels.

Wold Top Brewery is a family owned, independent brewery located between the Yorkshire coast and Yorkshire Wolds. Based on a farm, the company grows its very own barley, which is used to create its range of great tasting, award winning beers for the rest of Yorkshire and the world to enjoy.

As one of the many business partners helping us to make the national event possible, Wold Top Brewery is the event’s exclusive supplier of beer, lager and non-alcoholic beer for all VIP hospitality and the weekend’s Gala Dinner.

The company is very proud of its support for the Armed Forces and that Scarborough has been chosen to host the national event.

Kate Balchin, director of Wold Top Brewery said:

“We are honoured to be involved in this event. It’s a great way to recognise and appreciate the many exceptional men and women who make up our Armed Forces. We raise a glass to them all.”

Councillor Tony Randerson, our Armed Forces champion and cabinet member for neighbourhoods, said:

“We are delighted to partner with Wold Top Brewery. We hope the recipients of the special edition bottle will love how it looks and enjoy consuming what’s inside!

“We are overwhelmed by the generous support of local businesses for this year’s national event and our Armed Forces. We extend our thanks to them all for their commitment and enthusiasm.”
