At The Royal NAAFI, we ‘serve the services’, going to extraordinary lengths to provide key services to Armed Forces communities stationed at Ministry of Defence bases overseas and in the UK along with support to exercise and deployments.
From making British favourites available in the middle of the Atlantic, providing facility support on exercise and operating canteens onboard HM Ships, no location is too remote for us to reach. Our mission is to enrich the lives of service personnel and their families and that’s why all our surpluses go back into supporting our Armed Forces communities across the world.
Services to Armed Forces communities
The Royal NAAFI offers a range of services to our Armed Forces including exercise support, event planning, as well as offering a full range of soft facilities management services and more traditional catering, retail, and hospitality. Our services include:
Real Life Support
We can support all deployments, exercises, and events alongside permanent firm base support. We ensure the facilities on Armed Forces bases are pleasant and safe places in which to work and live:
- Building and office cleaning
- Industrial laundry services (including kit cleaning on exercise and operations)
- Full catering services alongside welfare facilities.
- Real life support services for exercises and short-term deployments, from power generation, Wi-Fi provision and ablutions to marquees, pop-up retail and temporary accommodation
Mobile and temporary set-ups
The Royal NAAFI can reach some of the remotest locations and toughest terrain with our temporary catering and pop-up facilities and versatile fleet of NAAFI wagons.
Function management services
As well as offering Forces communities around the world a range of NAAFI pubs, cafes and leisure venues serving fantastic British food and drink, we also offer support to a range of events and functions.
From wine tasting evenings or live entertainment we can manage events from start to finish, supporting with the provision of all event equipment, including marquees, catering apparatus, vending machines and portable facilities. We can even help with catering or general labour provision.
Isolated detachment services
We offer wholesale and delivery support to many isolated detachments worldwide, providing a taste of home as well as items difficult to source locally.
Giving Back
Our mission is to improve the lived experience of our Armed Forces communities. One key way to do this is through our NAAFI Fund. Launched in 2020, the NAAFI Fund will return over £10m back to the Armed Forces Units, Regiments and other functions directly to invest in their own welfare projects over the next decade. To date, grants worth £2m have already been awarded and started to have a positive impact.
